Adapted-Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy Group for Women

  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy was developed by Drs. Segal, Williams and Teasdale and is based on the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn Ph.D. who founded the Mindfulness-Based Stress-Reduction program at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
  • You will be contacted for an interview to discuss the program once your registration form is received.
  • The group meets weekly for 8 consecutive Saturdays or Sundays for a few hours and one full retreat day. Home practice involves 1hour per day.
  • This program helps women with mood problems such as depression or anxiety to develop a mindful way of being with themselves through acceptance and self-compassion.

  • To maintain the gains from the A-MBCT 8 week group these are non-dedicated sessions and are intended for those who have attended the 8 week sessions.
  • These sessions are exclusively supported through participants' donations.

Couples Interpersonal Meditation using Insight Dialogue

  • These 6 week sessions are held in the spring and fall. They follow the model of Dr. Gregory Kramer's Insight Dialogue and help couples use mindful awareness in interpersonal meditation.
