Founded in 2009 by Dr. Wanda Bowman Taylor and Max Kalinowski, the Mindful Way Meditation and Retreat Centre is nestled in the serene landscape of Haliburton. Surrounded by nature, the Centre was founded from the intention to share mindfulness teachings and practices with women to awaken the heart and mind.

Wanda Bowman Taylor M.D. is a retired psychiatrist specializing in women’s mental health for over 25 years. She holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Toronto in the area of experimental psychology with research and publications on the psychophysiology of the mind-body connection and lucid dreaming. She has studied with Jon Kabat-Zinn and Zindel Segal and has taught Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy for 20 years. In 2013 she received the 5 Mindfulness Trainings from Thich Nhat Hanh.
